Ask what the poncho is made from
Rain ponchos sold in India are made from different plastics, and the material changes how a poncho feels, how much it weighs and what it costs. Ask the manufacturer to name the material in the quote, so that you compare like with like.

Check the weight per piece
Weight per piece tells you how much material goes into each poncho. A lighter poncho costs less and packs smaller, which suits events and large distributions. A heavier one is sturdier, which suits workers who wear the same poncho through the monsoon.
Our standard ponchos weigh 42 to 140 grams per piece, poncho only, pant excluded. On orders of 20,000 pieces we make a custom GSM, so the weight can be set for your use.
Look at the hood, the sizes and the fit
- A hood with a drawstring keeps rain off the head and stays in place in wind.
- A poncho goes on over clothes, and even a small bag, so sizing is forgiving. Ask which sizes are made.
- Ours have a drawstring hood and come in global sizes.
Decide whether you need a matching pant
A poncho covers the head and body. For people working outdoors through heavy rain, a raincoat pant keeps the legs dry as well. Ask whether the manufacturer makes a pant to match, in the same sizes.

Choose colours that work for your team
Some buyers want one colour for the whole order. Others want a different colour for each site, team or shift, so people are easy to tell apart. Check which colours are made as standard. Ours come in purple, pink, green, blue and yellow.
Know the minimum order and what can be customised
- Ask the minimum quantity before you ask for a price. We make rain ponchos for bulk orders only.
- Ask which options need a larger order. For us, a custom GSM starts at 20,000 pieces.
- Ask about printing before you order. We do not offer custom logo printing on ponchos.
Order before the monsoon
Demand for rain ponchos peaks when the monsoon arrives, and the monsoon reaches most of India between June and early July. Place bulk orders early, so the ponchos are made, packed and delivered before the first heavy rain rather than during it.
Get a clear, written quote
A good quote lists the material, the weight per piece, the colour mix, the sizes, whether a pant is included, the price per piece and delivery to your location. If two quotes do not list the same things, they cannot be compared.
